Sensei Joshi began his martial arts training under Sensei Rick Rowell in 1981. He continued his training in Ottawa with Sensei Harvey Brown before returning to Calgary.

He has been involved as a competitor, Referee and Director at the National level with Karate Canada and the Provincial level with Karate Alberta. As a competitor and Referee he has attended tournaments in Japan, Australia and the United States. He has also attended two World Karate Federation Championships in Munich, Germany and Madrid, Spain as an executive of Karate Canada.

Sensei Joshi has received his National Referee “A” Certification for Kata and Kumite and is a member of the Canadian Chito-Ryu Karate Association Officials Committee.

He has been practicing law for 27 years and is a Senior Partner at Foster LLP Family Law Lawyers in Calgary, Alberta.
